  • I attended EDC Vegas in 2013, and EDC NY this year and I have to say next time I'm going back to Vegas (I made a review for EDC NY 2015 also)! This review is for when I attended EDC Vegas in 2013. ENTERING EDC! There's no way to describe the feeling you get once you get into the stadium and see everything from atop. I spent Friday-Sunday dancing from sun down to sun up. The funniest thing every morning was waking up to a nose full of dust/ dark boogers, but this was the least of my worries. On top of seeing your favorite/new djs there's a lot of art installations for you to look at/enjoy and a lot of areas to just have some down time and take in the view. One of my favorite moments was sitting down near the entrance of the stadium (where there is a small hill going down into the first stage) and watching the Bloody Beetroots live and taking in the view. I'm counting down the days until I can do EDC Vegas all over again! READ THE REST FOR DETAILS Music/Rides/Art installations The lineup for the year I went was incredible. For me the stage to be at was Kinetic Field, Cosmic Meadow, Circuit Grounds and neon garden (basically all of them). Memorable sets included Above and Beyond, Dirty South, Mat Zo, Calvin Harris, Mark Knight, Audien, Tiesto (he took it back a bit), Armin Van Buuren, Simon Patterson, Tritonal, Cosmic Gate, A-Trak, Kill the Noise, Jack Beats, Sasha, and many more. There was something for everybody at this festival. There were a few wonder wheels, those swing things that go in circular motion, the boat ride that swings back and forth, that superman ride where you lay down, the one where you are swung back and forth and also spun, and bumber cars. There were tons of art installations. There was the infamous daisy, some type of bamboo structure where you could go under and avoid the sun in, a room where you applied 3d glasses and it was full of neon/blacklight art (really cool), area to design your own mask and many other fun things to look at. Scale/location I really believe there is nothing that could scale in comparison to this festival. I mean come on the ENTIRE festival place takes place inside of a stadium (Las Vegas Motor Speedway). Even after attending this I can' t fathom how they are able to fit so many people, stages, art installations, bathroom porta potties and everything else in here. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is located in the middle of the desert. The entire thing is a complete escape and I love it. Arriving in Vegas I bought a hotel/ticket/shuttle package when I attended, which was a really good idea. I was set and didn't need to worry about anything when I arrived. I arrived two days before the festival and from the airport to the Vegas strip (for the entire week) all I heard were chants of E-D-C-E-D-C. From the moment I arrived on the strip the vibes and energy were amazing. Entering/Exiting the Festival I always made it to the festival within an hour of it starting which meant getting in wasn't traumatic. The process took almost an hour and was extremely easy. You get your id checked, patted down, and your tickets checked. Whenever I left the festival my sister and I always made sure to leave about 15min before the closing set so that we could ensure it didn't take us forever to get out of the festival and onto our shuttle. Food The only complaint I have about the year I went were the food options but they have gotten a lot better. The year I went they had funnel cake, lemonade, smoothies, chicken fingers/fries, nachos, etc. Bathrooms There was an endless amount of porta potties spread throughout the stadium. Towards the night they did start getting a bit too dirty but never to the point where you had to hold in your pee for the rest of the night.
