I can't remember the last time I was at the Royal Alex. I guess everything I've been going to the last few years have either been at the Princess of Wales, Canon or Elgin theater.
I went to see Rock of Ages on the weekend in the upper balcony and it completely reminded me that I don't like heights! It has got to be one of the steepest inclines for any theater I've ever been to.
It's an old building, the lineups for the bathrooms were long (even for the men) and well the seat's a bit tight even for my ass (yes it's big).
I guess I'm glad an old theatre like the Alex is still around, but with all the great quality facilities in our city, I'm not sure if I'd go back to the upper balcony. I think it's either the Orchestra or nothing. I guess this is another reason I know I'm getting older. I'm getting grumpier.
