| - This place is a source of some pretty deep nostalgia for me.
About 11-12 years ago, I worked with a group of muralists for the city of Toronto. There's still some of our stuff around the city, in fact. This was one of the sites, and we painted a big coffee cup as well as all sorts of funny little characters all over their back patio. They basically gave us free reign, which was unusual for a client.
I came back here with a friend, hoping to see some of my old paintings of rocket ships, UFOs and planets (I was really into those at the time), but they were either all washed away from the last 10 years of rain, or demolished when they built the new addition. The coffee cup is still there.
Anyway, they have a great selection of coffees, teas and juices. I ordered one of their juices, which actually made me feel a little sick (headache, nausea) for about 20 minutes. Not sure if something was off with it, or it was heatstroke, or if my body was all like "this is WAY too much berries to be ingesting in 10 minutes).
Service was friendly and it was a really chilled out atmosphere to hang out in. They didn't seem to have air conditioning, but it was way cooler than outside and they had fans going.
