  • A piece of Pittsburgh history in an unexpected corner of Oakland. Forbes Field was a much beloved ballpark. It was named after General John Forbes, a French and Indian War hero. It was one of the finest baseball stadiums ever built, and it's great to have a section of the outfield wall to remember the history that happened here. If you want to see home plate you can go across the street to Posvar Hall.
