Yelp continues to disappoint in Vegas. I tried the Thai Fried Rice and Pho Chin Nam. The pho was skimpy on the meat, but it tasted OK but not great. The rice wasn't actually Thai Fried Rice and was rather bland. I always order Thai Fried Rice at Thai restaurants because this style is my favorite. So when the dish came out with no tomatoes, it was a surprise, especially since the menu describes it with tomatoes (as is standard). Instead, it contains carrots, corn, and green beans. WTF is this? When I asked why the difference from what the menu describes, I was told that they removed the tomatoes "a long time ago" because customers didn't like it "so fishy" ... uh, what? When have tomatoes ever been fishy? And green beans? Corn? This is definitely not Thai Fried Rice, and relying on Yelp in Vegas continues to make me shake my head.
