This response is to Mariska A. My husband and I are a married Gay couple and we found out that my husband had stage 4 colorectal cancer that metastasized to his peritoneal. We found out about his diagnosis at aboUT 4:30 pm in the afternoon and our surgeon called Dr. Medhi right away. He and his staff said to send us immediately and that they would wait to talk to us right then. when we arrived, the office was closed and they waited to talk to us and explain what we had to expect. This was on a Friday and Chemotherapy started on Monday. My husband and I are gay and have been together for almost 30 years. He and his staff were professional, helpful, and straightforward. we are thanful for his compassion and the fact that he meets with us after every treatment. Our experience was comforting and reassuring. I recommend giving him a chance to show that he could care less about your sexual orientation and more about my husbands physical health and My mental health...
