  • I had a BLAST here last night at the Cheap Pours and Sticky Floors event! Special thanks to the lovely Evelyn and Yelp for a night of super fun good times. I never do karaoke. The last time I went was probably five years ago. Last night reminded me how much fun it is to belt one out with some awesome peeps. All you need is some liquid courage to get started and someone to pull you out towards the mike (shout out to Karen's awesome friend for physically dragging me out). There seemed to be a big selection of almost any song you could think of. I enjoyed the random scenery videos playing on the karaoke screen along with the lyrics (think scenes of bears frolicking during Vanessa Carlteon's 1000 miles song - super random and mega awesome). The only thing I should point out is that it was very very HOT in our room last night. Mostly due to a torrential downpour outside, it got a wee bit muggy. Nothing a few drinks couldn't fix however ;) really feeling the effects of the Soju today!! Good times were had by all. I will definitely return!!
