  • Taste of Las Vegas! We visited on Thanksgiving Day and they were open! A chocolate shoppe complete with free sample, tasting experience, tours, and a botanical cactus garden with 300+ species of cacti. They have a huge self guided viewing aisle window where we could watch chocolatiers make these yummy treats. I understand that around the holiday season the factory hours varies so from time to time, the factory may not be bustling with chocolatiers during visits so I guess we got lucky we were able to see a few. At the time of our visit one of the chocolatiers was making candy caramel apples. A few feet behind was a long table with the biggest pecan brittle! The self-guided tours are free but the tasting experience is not and is $14.99 per person but there is a $5 Discount if you check in Yelp . All this is open to the public. I enjoyed taking a leisurely stroll through the cactus garden and view the botanical desert terrain. The garden was adorned with holiday lights and I can only imagine how pretty it was lit at night. From the parking lot it didn't look very big but the garden was featured four acres of drought-tolerant ornamental, cacti, and other succulents. Cool! The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is plentiful! Purchased a few signature peanut clusters in milk and dark chocolate (almond nut clusters and Almond Butter Krisps). Each piece was $1.99, yikes! They were so good and yummy! I do love my chocolates! They are also affiliated with Mars which is M&M's which makes M&M's peanuts (my favorite). We also found some Ethel M products at the M&M's World last night. UPDATE: We came back two nights later for the Cactus Garden. The Botanical Garden is so pretty at night with all the lights on display. The once empty huge parking lot in the daytime was full and was packed with guests. A must see during the holiday season! So glad I was able to witness this during our visit. Review #0903
