  • So good I wanted to come back the next day!!!! So my date didn't plan shit for this trip he invited me on. Why invite a lady on your first trip together and not make definite plans on where to eat!!!??? Especially a foodie like myself. BUT man was I happy we came here!!!!!! We took a cab (one of the nicest cabbies ever,) He dropped us off in this 1980s looking center and I was like Hmmmmmm OKKKKKKKKK. But that all changed. Rang the bell and we look forward and all of a sudden to the right of us the host with heavy mob accent asked us if we made rsvps and yes we did. Who knows if we didn't. We were seated in a nice big booth. The service was great. Our waitress was so nice and a former resident of Irvine so that was lovely. We started with some martinis and they were made so good and refreshing. We started with Tony's "Duck" soup and an order of meatballs. I don't know what's in the Duck soup but it was so good. The meatballs are what they're known for and OMG one of the best meatballs I've ever had. So moist and very flavorful. I remember watching their segment on Man vs. Food and I recall drooling over that scene and now I had the chance to be like Adam and indulge. This should be ordered EVERY TIME!!!! For our entrees I ordered the veal parm and my side was mushroom risotto. He ordered the Lasagna. The portions are HUGE. I told him I was happy to share an entree because I didn't know if our hotel fridge was big enough. Some how it fit :p I guess my date was in no mood to share. I'm usually not a veal parm person but this chicken parm was addicting. I couldn't stop eating it and If I took one more bite, I'd get sick. The risotto was good but it was all about the parm. I've been thinking about it every time I crave Italian food. I tried his Lasagna and it was very good. Even he couldn't eat it all. Very satisfying meal. Overall I had a great time here and the gentleman that sung Frank sinatra was awesome, I thought they were just playing music til I looked back and it was live. He was spot on. The food was so good, I wanted to come back just to take leftovers back to Cali LOL. I can't wait to come back!!!!!
