Stopped by this winery during happy hour recently and there were not a lot of people around so we got to choose where we sat. Since it was warm, we opted to sit outside on the patio. A few more people filled in, but it was still relatively empty, which I enjoyed.
Our waitress was kind and quick. We ordered a meat and cheese board along with a few flights of wine. I asked if the wine they serve was made in Ohio and she told me that they buy grapes and make their own wine in the basement! I was a little surprised by that. They also have a small vineyard in the back where they grow some of their own grapes. Of the red wines I tasted, I liked the Misunderstood the best. I didn't taste any whites because I prefer red. After my flight of wine was consumed, I ordered a Great Lakes Cloud Cutter beer, but they ended up being out of it, so I went with the waitress's recommendation.
We ordered a flatbread to munch on, which was delicious. They have a good happy hour and I know my wife and I will be back to enjoy it.
