Very cool event, love that everybody there were so excited to see Santa.
The 2015 Santa Claus Parade was held on Sunday Nov 16th. The parade began at 12:30pm starting at Christie station. The route was begin at Christie/Bloor and continue east, the turn south at Bloor/University, then turn east again at University/Front, and end around the St. Lawrence Market. I arrived at the University/King corner at around 12:45pm to get a good spot. Ended up waiting until 2:30ish when the head of the parade finally arriving.
The scene on the audience side was chaotic when the parade arrived. There were kids sitting on blankets at the front and the parents would get defensive whenever they see people blocking the children's view. One mom was swearing the entire time to get the crowd to move away lol. So just be careful of angry parents.
The parade itself was pretty fun, there were marching bands, people walking in costumes, clowns that you could take pictures with, and of course the colorful floats. I wish there weren't many large gaps between different sections of the parade. The gaps made the parade around 1 hour long and my legs were so tense when the event was over.
