  • Cheval isn't my typical jam. I don't do the bottle service, high heels thang often so clearly was slightly out of my element at Cheval. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Despite cover charge, outrageously priced bottles of beer and a fairly awkward layout, I quite enjoyed my night here. The bonus of the weird layout (long and narrow), there was ample bar space so lots of opportunity to harrass the bartender for tequila shots. The crowd was quite spiffy and the bar wasn't too packed. Quite honestly, I was expecting this place to be more of a danceclub, but really it was more of a step up from the smaller, college/ossington style bars. In conclusion, yes this bar does attract some of the bottle service d-bags but it's definitely one of the better clubs I've been to in Toronto.
