| - I'll gladly pay an arm and a leg to see visually stunning epics like Toy Story 3 and Avatar at the first-run cinemas--they're amazing works of art that deserve to be enjoyed in full 3D glory.
However, for shall we say, "lesser" types of movies like Prince of Persia or Cats and Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, I don't feel the need to spend an arm and a leg to see a movie I'll barely remember 2 weeks after I see it. I don't like watching movies at home though--ringing cell phones, undone chores\housework\homework all around me, and scratched DVDs from the library can suck the life out of one's viewing experience!
So what am I to do? The Cinemark has heard my dilemma, and it has come to the rescue! For these types of movies, the Cinemark suits my purposes just fine. The prices are dirt cheap and they tend to get just about every big movie that comes through theaters. When $2 is the "evening" cost on weekends, I'll gladly wait a few weeks to catch a film like Salt here.
This place isn't luxurious, and I sometimes worry that the lack of renovations means that the Cinemark folks plan to run it into the ground and then close it when it's just about ready to be declared condemned. Until then, I enjoy taking advantage of this place as much as possible. I do wish, though, that they would fix some of the broken seats--my wife is almost a foot shorter than me, and one time I sat in a broken seat and she was higher than I was!
Cleveland's got a ton of little-known gems, and this is one of them. Don't spent $10 on a movie you might hate or won't remember the next day after you see it...wait a few weeks, see it at the Cinemark, and have enough money left over for a nice dinner or a few drinks afterwards!
