| - My husband and I went to the dealership to test drive at the end of August because my lease would be ending in a few weeks. It was just our first stop - we were planning to also look around at Volkswagen, Hyundai... As it turns out, we ended up leaving with my new lease signed and never made it to the other stops.
As soon as we entered, we received immediate attention from Gary. He showed us some features of the 2014 Mazda3 and took us test driving in his personal vehicle. I've test driven at other dealerships before and this was the first time I was able to test drive on a highway (maybe because of the proximity to the 401), which let us get a better sense of the car's capability. My husband and I both got to drive, and Gary never rushed us back to the dealership.. In fact he had us go on the highway, test the acceleration and braking in some back roads, and mess around with the tiptronic functions.
Gary was friendly the whole time and never seemed pushy, and in the end he and his manager gave us a deal we couldn't walk away from. We were there until past closing (it was Saturday), but we never felt like we were being rushed.
Overall the process of testing and deciding to get the car was enjoyable. They were helpful in that they let me return my old Mazda to their location instead of having to go back to my original dealer which would've been further and way more inconvenient. (I'm not sure if that's a normal thing for all Mazda dealerships, though..my first time returning a leased car)
My only criticism was that Michael, who did the financials with us, was not very good at replying to emails. And I found out after getting my car that the new Mazda3 has a special floor design that requires a unique floor mat, and that I cannot reply to text messages via voice command (which I assumed I could). But I still love my 2014 Mazda3 GS hatchback with skyactive and convenience package!
