The worst Hyatt Regency I've ever been to! Way understaffed! Staffs are not well trained. We used our points to book the rooms, the first time we checked in, they didn't ask if I would like points or welcome amenities with my status. The front desk spoke to each other in French like as if I didn't understand what the heck they were talking about. I didn't bother arguing with them since I'm planning to write an official email to complain. The second time we checked in, the preferred line was unattended and I had to ask the lady who OBVIOUSLY saw me if anyone was going to help me before she called for additional help. So if you have status, forget about getting in line at the non-existence line because you would end up waiting until EVERYONE else is served before they attend to their so-called premier members they so value! I had to ask for the manager to complain and the lady who helped me then told me she was actually the manager but didn't do nothing about the situation.
Concierge- what concierge? You would think an established hotel like the Hyatt Regency in a tourist town would hire a full time staff?! Barely saw the desk staffed. I wrote an email prior to our arrival and didn't hear back! So forget about sending email if you have questions.
Hyatt Regency Club - worthless! The worst I ever been to! No one at the club period and their fridge was empty - barely any water or soda, so forget about any alcoholic beverages. The food served is mediocre at best.
The room itself is old, especially the bathroom. They need to be refreshed. Valet parking is expensive - $35ish so be prepared if you are driving.
I'm giving this hotel 2 stars because of its downtown location and connected to the underground mall. Walking distance to China town, Museum and Latin town.
