  • Had a great experience buying my wedding dress at Sash and Bustle. The merchandising is truly designed for real women -- beautiful, comfortable and affordable. It's not a huge selection but I loved almost every dress I tried on -- the selection is extremely well curated. Contrary to another review, I found the sizing very helpful as many of the dresses came in multiple sizes so I could get a good feeling for what it would look like. This was really different than other stores which only had size 6 or 18. The intimacy of the small store experience is a welcome contrast to some of the larger stores. I made the mistake of going to Kleinfeld's and left nearly in tears when they were clearly frustrated with my "modest" $3k budget. Did I mention it's independently owned by some awesome women entrepreneurs? Shop local! In the end, I bought my dress, had a great experience and was well under budget. Go other places if you must, but definitely make sure to stop at Sash and Bustle before you decide. Appointments only!
