We stayed a weekend here recently and really enjoyed it! The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about hikes and things to do in the area. Our room had a balcony and a gorgeous mountain view. It was clean but dated and lacked amenities. I am not sure if they are renovating rooms or not, but I found it odd that we had no alarm clock or stationary. We did have a nice flat screen TV and DVD player. The room could have used the standard hotel stuff- the little binder with area activities and hotel information. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom was clean but dated with a small tub. We had a Keurig coffee maker, which I liked. The AC is noisy, but not horrible. Would be an issue if you are a light sleeper. The Cut Above restaurant was very good, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. We ate breakfast there each day and dinner one night. At dinner the staff was friendly but seemed rushed. Strange because it was not busy at the time. I ordered penne primavera. I was so hungry that I was half way through my meal before I realized that I was not eating what I ordered! I was served a version of fettuccine alfreado. It was delicious and was something I had considered ordering, so I did not complain. The Bistro off of the lobby was strange. Lots of packaged pastries and coffee, tea and hot cocoa. Online I was given the impression that it was a quick eatery with servers. It was just a lobby store. Overall I really enjoyed my stay there and will definitely be back!
