Hidden in a quiet shopping mall is a bustling sushi place that has boomed tremendously. I've always wanted this place to be my little secret but obviously its popularity has made it one of the best sushi places in the city.
It's nearly impossible to get a table here for dinner on the weekends; everyone is waiting outside. Hence, I try to come here for lunch (since they offer the same menu anyways). I always get the same things: vegetable tempura, salmon skin hand roll, and the boss roll. Oh yeah, the boss roll is my favorite. Great flavors with lightly battered tempura shrimp inside that's still crispy when they serve it to you. They are also very generous with the amount of salmon skin that they give you in their rolls.
Would I come back here again? Most definitely. The service here is outstanding as well and even though they're very busy, they make sure you're enjoying your meal and your drinks are refreshed. While I understand it's not Jiro's or any other fancy sushi hotspots, it is one of the best in Charlotte. Before you leave, you must try the fried ice cream as well! Crispy on the outside but chill and creamy in the inside.
