Lunch Review ...
Friend had a craving for Thai food, so we decided to have lunch at Lemongrass. When we sat down, I was surprised to learn that they were also serving dim sum (not sure if this is a regular part of their menu or limited to Sundays is often the case at Chinese restaurants) and admittedly a little wary ... as I've found that most restaurants that mix cuisines end up doing none of them well.
Thai Food - My friend ordered "Drunken Noodle with Seafood," which was not bad but not necessarily good (a little on the bland side and skimpy on the seafood) ... how about mediocre.
Dim Sum - To my surprise, the dim sum was pretty good. I didn't order much (so my review is based on three dishes only), but what I ordered was enjoyable: (1) Leek and Shrimp Dumplings - Less like a traditional dumpling (with a distinct flour wrapper you might associate with a potsticker), but still okay; (2) Turnip Cake - Very good, and I am a HUGE fan of turnip cakes; and (3) Ginger Scallion Tripe - Also very good, and I am also a HUGE fan of tripe.
