I'm going to preface this review by saying that I always come to this location to get my sons hair cut and I've never had any issues. The hairdressers usually just repeat for me what he got last time and do their thing. Done.
This time was weird. I think I got a hairdresser in training because from the beginning she thought it was a good idea to put my sons body cover thing on as a cape. (I'm not even going to get into how long it took me to take all the hair out of his clothes and my car today.) She seemed new even just the way she cut his hair. I think anyone with children can agree the faster the cut the better. She was being very careful like she was reciting steps or something and he was getting impatient. Then I pointed something out to her and this seemed to stress her out as finally she called over to her supervisor for help. I told her I don't know the terminology for what I'm trying to say or else I would explain it better. It felt like I was talking Chinese to her and she was getting more nervous by the minute. The supervisor was cutting someone else's hair so she was taking forever to come over to take a look (which quite honestly made the situation worse because it takes less than a minute to give her instructions on how to blend something out) , but alas.
Finally I told the hairdresser to blend this one little section that was sticking out like a sore thumb and line him up and that should be fine. She took the pair of scissors and starting cutting hair off the top of his head (after I had just told her we usually keep it long on top). I felt like I was going crazy because, like I said, I bring my son here every other week for a hair cut and have tried everyone that works here. What is going on today?
Finally I told her just to leave it. At that point I just wanted to leave. To top it off, I over heard the supervisor telling the hairdresser 'Good Job' for completing the haircut without her help..as we walked to cashier. How about asking ME how everything went? Horrible experience. Don't know if I'll risk coming here again. BECAUSE I'm so laid back about my kids haircut one of my pet peeves is when people mess with his hair.
**Tip for this location: keep a closer eye on your newbies ... nothing at all against people just learning, but keeping up on their progress, especially in the beginning, is critical to successful integration. And if they ask for help- please make a point to address their customer in a reasonable amount of time.
