Here are the pluses about Spot Coffee:
1. If you happen to live in the Concord Cityplace condo vicinity (Spadina/Bremner Sts), there is no other locale to get coffee. The nearest location is a Tim Hortons on Front St. which is five minutes walk to the north. There is also a Coffee Time on the corner of Lakeshore and Spadina which is approximately five minutes walk to the south. Most people, however, would not consider these places to be in the same class as Spot Coffee.
2. I have eaten at Spot Coffee on a number of occasions and have yet to eat anything that was of poor quality. Items that I can recommend are: 1) the veggie/cheese omelette with toast or bagel, 2) the pizzas, 3) the apple-pumpkin muffins.
3. The atmosphere is quite comfortable with a few large leather chairs situated at both ends of the coffee shop.
4. The staff are friendly.
5. Free Wi-Fi.
Here are the negatives about Spot Coffee:
1. As a result of the open concept design, it can be quite noisy and not so easy to have a quiet conversation. I was in the coffee shop the other day with my aunt and uncle and that was one of their complaints.
2. Due to its location, parking can be an issue. While there is paid parking in the vicinity, it is not as if there is any available parking right beside the coffee shop. The location is pretty much designed for those people that reside within the area.
