The Dunhill costs a few dollars more than the chain hotels that fill downtown Charlotte. But it is a good value. The room (with some rates) comes with a free delicious american breakfast for 2, and the breakfast is made entirely with organic ingredients grown within 100 miles. The hotel is blissfully quiet; we slept across the hall from the elevator and somehow never heard it. They'll drive you anywhere in the city in some kind of old school crazy british car from the 1950s. Centrally located in a safe neighborhood, easily walkable to everything downtown. And the employees were unusually cheerful, practically whistling while they worked.
Recommend so long as you don't give a f*** about Hilton Starwood PointsMiles.
