First of all I loved the community under the old owners!!!! I was only on a 10 month lease and I was only living in my apartment 4 straight months out of my 10 month lease. So at the end of my lease I was expecting to get my $500.00 security deposit back because my apartment was in perfect condition upon moving out and plus due to the fact that I wasn't there much and plus I had no pets.
So yesterday I get a detailed letter in the mail from Chamberlin and Associates community manager Araceli Garcia stating that I will not be getting my $500.00 security deposit back and that I owe them $1.51 due to the following:
Full Unit Cleaning: $105.00
Replace drip pans: $24.00
Carpet Restoration: $175.00
Oh and remember I said that I had no pets the entire span of my lease?!?!? so get this last bull shit lie to rip me off to keep my money AND they call it Misc Charges...
Pet Damages; Unauthorized Pet & Fan Duct Cleaning: $180.00
Plus tax: $17.01
For a grand total of $501.01 which is the entire amount of my $500.00 security deposit......
Ok I get the cleaning fee of $105.00 although the paperwork I signed if I remember correctly said $58.00 cleaning fee but the rest is just a ploy to rip people off of their security deposit money so that Chamberlin and Associates won't have to give you the security deposit money back that you put down to move in... I am so upset because I know that I should've gotten my money back because my apartment was well taken care off, I was only living there 4 months out of my 10 month lease, and plus I had no fucken pets!!! Ugh I'm so irritated by this and they WILL BE HEARING FROM ME FIRST THING MONDAY MORNING!!!!! Watch this rip off move please if you decide to move in!!!
