| - What a truly disappointing experience. I made an appointment online for the 20,000-mile oil change in my Sienna, and I even received a confirmation of the appointment via e-mail. When I arrived at the appropriate time, they had no record of my appointment, and apparently my assigned advisor was off today. So they put me with "Big Mike," who immediately tried to sell me a $299 service contract. When I said, "no, thank you," he became dismissive.
I explained that in addition to having the oil changed, I wanted them to try and find out where a strange humming noise was coming while driving at low speed (I had included this when making the appointment online, but of course, there was no record). I also asked that the interior be vacuumed and cleaned, and I was willing to pay extra for that. In addition, I had a $10 off coupon that I wanted to use for the oil change.Mike assured me that it would all be taken care of.
He called about an hour or so later, saying that the car was ready to go. I asked about the humming noise, and after a long pause, he said they couldn't find anything. I went down to pick up the car and found nothing in the paperwork about even looking for the noise, and the $10 coupon was not applied. Even more disappointing, when they brought the car around, I noticed that the interior of the car had not even been touched -- no vacuuming and the windows were still dirty. And if the exterior was washed, it was not a good job at all. And as I drove off the lot, the humming noise kicked in right away, so I know that no one even looked at it.
All in all, a very disappointing experience, and I'm not sure I'll return for future service.
