| - This is an okay hotel in a very convenient location. We stayed here over Labo(ur) day weekend and got a great deal from Priceline.
There was nothing wrong with the hotel, but it didn't blow me away. Wifi was expensive, and free wifi was only available in the lobby, which was very small and lacked adequate seating. There is a business center, but we didn't use it- it was strangely located in an alcove between the front door and the side door, and it seemed like a very hectic, loud place to get work done.
There's no free breakfast, and the rooms are dated. The carpet, in particular, needs to be replaced, and the hallways could use a new paint job. The bathrooms are actually nice (although a bit cramped). The toiletries were replaced every day and were decent quality, but they had a strong masculine scent. If you're picky about your scents, you might want to bring your own.
The hotel is strangely laid out- the rooms are all on the outside of what might be a courtyard, and there is only one elevator bank at the front of the building. If you have a room in the 20s, you can get there from either direction, but it's a pretty long hike either way. This wasn't an issue for our group, since we basically just came back to sleep at night, but might not be convenient for others.
My biggest issue occurred on our last night. We were flying from Pearson at 6:00 AM, so wanted a cab for 3:30. The very nice woman at the front desk said she could book us their towncar service for $65 and it would be waiting for us. We agreed and she took down our room number. When we came down to the lobby and asked at 3:30, it was very clear she'd never put in the request. Considering this was the only service we used at the hotel, we were pretty disappointed. Luckily, we were able to get a taxi quickly.
