  • Approx 4 months ago I went to see Mark as I had all sorts of warning lights suddenly turn on on my 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. The repair was costly (approx $1300 as I needed some hybrid braking module) but Mark and his team helped me out and had my car back on the road in a matter of a few days and put a 6 mo. warranty on the new braking system. Then (of course..) about 2 weeks later I got a letter from Toyota starting if you had "such and such" warning lights turn on you might have a problem with the braking system that they would replace. It all explained that if you think you recently had the repair done by a third party, you could submit this list of 8 documents and they would check and see if you were eligible for reimbursement. I went back to AA Auto Care where I explained the whole thing to Mark who then wrote me up a letter explaining what lights were on and what he did for the vehicle and so on and so forth. Unfortunately, despite submitting all the documentation and the detailed letter from Mark, Toyota did not reimburse me... However this isn't a review of Toyota's service department! At the beginning of this month (November 2017) my brakes started making noises again and shaking while i was stopped at lights and I just felt as though they weren't responsive and I went back to AA Auto Care where I explained the whole thing. Mark remembered me and said he would look at the car. He called me a few hours later saying it was probably the braking system again and he would have to do more diagnostic work on the car and would call me Monday (I dropped the car off Saturday late afternoon). Over the next two weeks, Mark or Christian and I talked almost every day. He replaced the VSC braking system free of cost as promised, bled the brakes, did something with the calipers on the braking system (replaced them maybe? Just checked them? I really know next to nothing about cars..sorry). I called him every day because being without a car for two weeks is sort of rough but he filled me in every day on what he was doing and the status and apologized for not being able to get the car back to me quicker. He said they were still making noises after all those changes and had a mechanic from another store who specializes in hybrids look at it. Mark decided to try and replace the battery and low and behold this was the problem! After all these repairs and diagnostic testing, Mark finally got the car back to me and charged me for nothing but the replacement battery. He not only kept good on his word for replacing the braking system but spend many, many, many hours of free labor trying to figure out what was wrong with my poor car. Mark is a saint. He was so patient with me through the whole ordeal. The amount of time he has given to me and my car and my never ending requests free of charge really shows you what kind of place he runs! I sincerely hope I won't have to go back anytime soon (sorry Mark!) but I know that if I need to, I have a reliable mechanic that I know I can trust where I won't get nickel and dime-d and where I know he won't quit until he gets to the bottom of my cars problems !
