| - This is not a four-star hotel in the sense that Triple A does their ratings; it is definitely a budget motel. For a budget motel, I would give it 4-5 stars. For the price, it is awesome! The hotel is pleasantly decorated and very clean. Rooms are also large, with newish budget-modern decor, and clean. I felt very comfortable here. There is none of the dingy feel that I've sometimes experienced in cheap (albeit dirt-cheap) hotels. Each and every one of the staff was very friendly, helpful, and responsive to any requests. The amenities include shampoo-conditioner (2-in-1), travel tissue-pack, Wi-Fi (no code required), TV with 20+ channels, heated outdoor pool, suitcase rack in the room, plenty of drawers, a table with two chairs in the room, and coffee in the lobby. Hair-dryers are available from the front desk. There were a few barely noticeable whitish stains on the comforter and the hall smelled lightly of fresh paint; the room less so but it went away after we ran the air for a while. We asked for fresh pillowcases after our first night, and for our room to be cleaned during the short window while we were gone, and the staff were very friendly and took care of our requests. They also went above and beyond on the weekend to fix a small maintenance issue. The housecleaner even saw me struggling to open my water bottle (my husband is too strong when he puts it on - lol) and offered to help me! Seriously nice people here.
This budget hotel does not provide: Hair conditioner or lotion, microwave or mini fridge in the room (their website says that these are in "select rooms"), continental breakfast (you can't buy it either, to my knowledge), gym/work-out facilities, notepads in the room, or a coffee maker in the room (it's free downstairs).
WATCH OUT FOR: The fee they automatically charge for you to use the safe in your room. You can have it taken off of your bill, but you have to remember to ask them to do that before they charge it to your card. Not pleasant at all, but it is the way that the Red Roof Inns everywhere do business. Very annoying to have to think about this, and to feel nickeled and dimed by a budget motel of all places!
Otherwise, if you're looking for a pleasantly appointed and staffed, budget-priced hotel, look no further! Highly recommended!
