| - This is the kind of store that is perfect to visit when Grandma and Grandpa come into town! It's girly heaven in here with all the dolls, clothing, accessories and books to shop for. We only moved here two months ago, yet we have thoroughly enjoyed every visit we've made thus far, as all of the sales associates have been very kind and friendly to our our family. As a mom of three girls, we have shopped at American Girl for the past 7 years, and have been to the American Girl flagship stores in New York City and Los Angeles, in addition to the mid-sized Dallas store and the smaller Houston AG. The Scottsdale AG is fairly small as it's only one story and it has a very small bistro. If you'd like to dine there, I highly recommend you make reservations as soon as possible because there are only four tables (that seat 4 people) in the entire bistro so it fills up quickly...I'd think your chances of being able to get in as a walk-in would be pretty difficult. My daughters have enjoyed taking their dolls to the doll salon to get their doll's hair fixed, and there is one younger college-aged stylist at the doll salon who is amazing. She doesn't look like she's just another employee that works there, but someone who genuinely cares for each and every single doll providing each doll with attention. You can tell she knows how to style doll hair, and care for the dolls, as if they are her own kids! Highly recommend AG if you want to buy a gift for a special girl.
