| - Re reviews below, Round is *not* a cocktail bar, nor is it a restaurant -- so do not come here and expect an expert negroni or a quality meal (kitchen is now closed, anyhow). It is not that bar. It's dive-y but clean, diverse, and generally a pretty friendly crowd. The dance floor is fun and the sound system has been slightly upgraded in the last month or so. It does have a pretty wide range of good programming, largely thanks to the previous owners (too bad they're gone). The venue *just* changed hands and while there have been some minor upgrades to the space, the new owner is unbelievably rude - I seriously don't remember the last time I've been treated like total garbage when trying to engage with a bar owner. Having worked in service for 15+ years, I'm pretty sure that attitude ain't gonna get them further ahead. Good luck, Round/RIP, and thanks for the memories. FWIW, in respect to a comment below about cover being high -- cover charge is generally set by, and goes to, the people throwing the party so they can pay their DJ's or acts (i.e. you are supporting the artists with your cover $ and the bar with your drink purchases).
