  • Okay, so here's the deal. 5 stars for the atmosphere and the ladies. I love that they lock the doors. Sunlight or evening - locked! 1 star for braids slipping out the 1st week. Like day 3 and 4 several (meaning more than six - 6) braids slid or fell out. I did return and the ladies that didn't do the initial work were not present. No one complained they simply got to work - no waiting. When I went to ask why is this happening as I read the other reviews - they summoned over someone who could speak English so I broke out my patois and carry on. It was explained it could be a few things - short hair, braided too loose, something else and I had to break into Frenglish because I can't say somethings in patois plus it's Creole French at best not even Haitian creole french so I struggle more than any other speaker. IN short we had to establish the hair isn't short and we've been wearing braids for at least eight years and only experienced this for the first time. Anywhoo, the braids fell out again plus 2 more. MY WORD!!! I pleaded upon this return that "Look, I like y'all and want this to work but for $160 this can't be acceptable" Upon entry I didn't realize or know they want you to pay before service. I was going to swipe until she mentioned the fee. She offered the ATM but it has a fee as well so I went to Publix. I paid at the finish. I tipped as they used two ladies and got the work done in 3 hours maybe 3.45 hours. Well, tonight 11/21 - we finally got the missing braids redone and the braider was shocked that her first braids put in SLID OUT WHILE the client was still in the chair. I was sooo excited this happened as it stopped everything and made the ladies all get involved to figure out the possibilities of what's going on. I am starting to believe it's the hair. Look y'all, we don't allow tight braiding as we still have edges in this family. Folks have been braiding this hair from Wisconsin to Aabie's in the Queen City. Braids just don't slide out. Also, they talked the kid out of the big box braids and I get it they didn't want things to look old and cost a lot of $$ before the time should be up for a rebraid. At the end of the day - I'd like to give higher stars but I'm stretching with the 3 because I like the safety, cleaniness, ladies that work here and location.
