Typically I go out for coffee and make tea at home, but when a friend suggested going to David's, I figured the Yelp reviews were positive enough to intrigue me.
The wall of tea is a pretty stunning sight. They are colour coordinated and have tempting flavours and names such as "dulce and banana." My friend and I opted to get that after the friendly server let us get a whiff of the fall collection.
The cup of tea is pretty huge and comes with a fancy teabag. (I think it was $2.63 each.) There's free honey and a quiet atmosphere. As nice as the tea was, I found the place itself a bit underwhelming - it's small, has two tables that you can't sit at because of presentations set atop them, and the tables where you may sit are cramped together.
They sell a lot of alluring tea accessories but the prices are a bit steep. I did score some peach honey sticks (5 for $1) and admired some fancy contraptions.
Four stars because I am a pushover. If I had my choice of tea places, I'd love to go to a traditional-esque tea house, but for the Queen St strip, this is a good addition.
