Just saw the RI episode last night, and would like to comment about the fritter I had when we dined there on 9/18. The light and fluffy fritter was NOT what I was served. I was definitely given the older version of the fritter that had the glaze on it. It was definitely a heavy fritter, in which you could tell there was some extra grease, and covered in the glaze NOT the confectioner's sugar. Would have liked to try the lighter version. Not sure why the recipe was reverted back? Ok that's all.
