| - I originally walked into Lush because of the amazing scents coming from it. (You can't just stand in the doorway and sniff - LOL)
They have a tantalizing array of wonderfully coloured things in various shapes. At first I thought they were a confectionary store. Wonderful pale yellow and green and melon coloured balls, rectangles and squares, piled high on attractive trays, and the delicious scents ...OMG ... the scents. Just being in the store is a mini aromatherapy session.
A helpful young lady explained that these are bath and beauty products and proceeded to explain some of them.
My fave was the Bath Bomb, a large ball which when dropped in water kind of explodes into scented fizz.
There were many others - lovely big, hand carved pieces of soap in a wide array of fragrances. Bottles of Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Lotion and Shower Gel. Each one smelling even more enticing that the first. They also carry a line of cosmetics - Mascara, Eyeliner, Eye Shadow and Foundation.
Lush is organic and all their products are made from natural sources.
My first purchase was a hunk of soap. A large block actually, which weighed about a pound. Not cheap, around $20.00, but lasted for ages.
The next time I went in, I got another block of soap, and one of their eyeliners. The eye makeup is not cheap, pretty well every item is $18.00 - but a great product and well worth the cost.
What I particularly love about the soaps is that you can store them in your underwear drawers and a wonderful scent is imparted to your clothing.
Their packaging is beautiful. Their gift sets are gorgeous. The sales staff are really helpful. I could just go and stand in the store and inhale the scents and relax. So nice.
