| - I toured this place to perhaps use as a wedding venue last summer. Though the price was quite reasonable, and the architecture was unique it would have taken quite a bit to bring it up to par to make the place wedding worthy. I think this is a terrific place for a Sweet 16, Quinceanera, Family Reunion, Anniversary Dinner or a formal milestone birthday party.
The great part is this place photographs really well. There are unique features like stately columns, an actual bank vault and a beautiful second level, that all make for interesting pictures. They will also provide a terrific marquee type sign on the building bearing your event name and date. So guest know they are in the right place.
Problems, and there are a few.
The lighting and the condition of the smaller rooms. They are lit with harsh, dim, fluorescent lighting.
The ceilings in some of these rooms have panels which show water damage.
The doors look really cheap.
Bathrooms are not nice.
In the smaller rooms, the carpet on the floors are old, discolored and an unattractive color.
If I recall correctly there are no kitchens on the premises. So your caterer needs to be right on time and in sync with making sure the food hot.
Finally, do not use their caterer!
Someone who planned our annual family reunion used the Concord Renaissance Caterer and the food was truly beyond disgusting, peppery garbage. It was inedible trash and a complete waste of decent food and money.
Drink situation - unfathomable!
They brought ONE gallon of tea and ONE gallon of ice water to feed over 100 people. Everyone hadn't even gotten water before they packed up their items and left. They didn't even leave any pitchers or cups of water after leaving. Most guest walked around thirsty with the chalky, peppery aftertaste of cooked garbage in their mouths.
