| - This Metro is only steps away from our new apartment, so it's very convenient. It also stays open very late, so we can get groceries or prepared meals if we work late and need to get something on the way home.
This Metro has a wide array of selections, including Crême Fraiche and Madeleines, which are rare at other grocery stores and remind me of home (France). The bread selection and the fresh produce are amazing. There is also a lot of choice for free parking, both above ground in front of the store and underground beneath it. The LCBO and TD Canada Trust also have locations nearby, so it's very convenient.
Two downsides for this Metro are its layout (a bit confusing, not very logical inside the store) and the price. We shop less frequently here now because we can save up to $400 per month shopping at the No Frills a few blocks further. While that is not as convenient, it is worth the inconvenience because Metro's prices are somewhat higher than the other nearby grocery stores. Metro also has its "Compliments" in-house brand which, while improving, is still not quite as good as Loblaws and No Frills's President's Choice branded foods.
Great store, convenient location, long hours, and friendly staff. Just a tad expensive and the layout takes some getting used to. Glad to have this in our neighbourhood!
