  • My step daughter desperately needed a new car. We stopped in to see what they had to offer and were up front and very clear that we were only shopping because she just moved here from out of state and needed to change her license and have the title sent from out if state before she could purchase a car. We spoke with Ken. Of course he went through a great deal of effort to find her the best deal possible (all while he was twitching and playing with a waiting cigarette on his desk) and explained that my daughters 2004 KIA Rio with minor front end damage was worthless but he would give her $500 for it to be nice. He then pointed us out the door to a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse with 110k on it that they wanted $10,000, $550 a month for two years! (Did I mention it was a manual transmission?) with directions to "walk over to where that fat man is, the car is in that area". We finally found the car on our own, looked at it, decided it was absolutely not worth getting and went back in. We had to wait till Ken came back in smelling like an ashtray to try and politely thank him for his time and leave, that's when the pressure started. We explained her title was still in the state she just moved from with her mother and she was expecting her tax return next week. He said he would accept a PICTURE of the title and he was sure I had a credit card I could put money on to hold the car for her. (Mind you this was over a week ago and that car is still there.) He treated my daughter with disrespect because she was an inconvenience to him knowing he was not getting a sale right then and there. We finally left after he gave us his name and number on a sticky note to call him! We then went to Day Toyota on Rt 51 in Jefferson where they offered to lease her a 2015 Toyota Camry for $237 a month for three years after giving her $750 for her car! She is now driving a safe and reliable, fully warrantied car from Toyota. Pittsburgh Auto Depot is quite literally highway robbery, they prey upon people in need who do not know any better and are scared thinking this is their only option. There are better options stay away!
