| - It's a cliche, but I would give 0 stars if I could. After booking my rental car through Expedia (who was amazing to work with even after the hell "E Z" put me through), I waited in line at the Las Vegas airport for 1.5 hours behind 3 other people. E Z had almost every customer upset while I was there, which explained the ridiculous wait time. They couldn't figure out anything for anyone. It was finally my turn. Yes! What could go wrong? I had my insurance, my driver's license, and my major credit card. The expressionless and apathetic employee who called me up (to be fair the guy ahead of me was a jerk and probably ruined her day) asked for my name. I gave it to her and she pulled up my itinerary. "Oh, you're LOCAL." I ask her if that's a problem. She tells me "well, no, there's a mileage cap of 150 a day." Fine, whatever. "I need your insurance." Perfect, I am prepared! "Oh, no. We don't want your insurance card, we need a hard printed copy of your declarations page." Seriously? No, really, seriously? How would you like me to get that at the airport? Also I live an hour from the airport in a different city, but they still considered me "local." While your policy may "be on your website" the employee assured me that you sure as heck don't provide it or an indication to check it through Expedia's booking service. The entire thing soured me towards E Z Rent a Car. If you are local, I urge you to avoid them and book through Budget or Enterprise and NOT at the airport. Budget was able to get me a GREAT deal, has no mileage restrictions or ridiculous insurance paperwork requirements for locals. And I assure you, these insurance requirements are ONLY for locals. I personally watched people from foreign countries in front of me waive E Z's rental insurance and also not provide their own with no problems, they just handed them their keys and sent them on their way. Dumbest policy decision I have ever personally seen. Just go somewhere else, it's "E Z"-er.
