  • For anyone looking to take their CCW class I HIGHLY recommend James Banks with Phase Line Defense. He and his crew were experienced, professional, and helpful. I went into this class knowing very little and left a lot more knowledgeable than I imagined. James kept the textbook portion engaging. We weren't just reading pages from a handbook. He had PowerPoint slides, videos, and personal stories that kept us participating. He kept the class light and fun, but taught it in a way to ensure the information we were learning was going to stick with us. On the range portion he was extremely clear with his directions and drills to make sure each student was using and handling the firearms properly, and also gaining experience by firing it. James and his team worked closely with each student individually to correct any errors and answer any questions. James could pick up on problems students were experiencing whether it be the grip, the sights, or in my case learning to better anticipate the recoil. I can't speak more highly of him and his team. I do plan to take some of his other firearm classes and I highly recommend him to all of my friends!
