| - I have never bought a dress here, nor do I ever plan on buying on there after the experience I had today. Two and a half weeks ago I googled bridal dress alterations and BB popped up as a search. It was near by to my house and my fiance said it was a very popular place, so I figured I would give them a call. The woman on the phone asked me several questions about the dress and she said she could fit me in. I was a little weary about the appointment being in two and a half weeks since I didnt have much time before I was getting on a plane for Bora Bora (and she knew the date I needed it by). I figured they knew what they were doing, so I became excited about the day to go in and get to have it fitted for me. I went in, dress and shoes in hand prepared to try it on and have them fit it to my body. It just needed to be let out a bit around the rib cage and shortened... nothing too difficult. The woman at the desk asked me how she could help me and I said I had an appointment for a dress alteration. She looked down at her book and was searching for my name... then two other woman came up and the one asked if I had gotten my dress there because they did not know who I was and could not see that I had purchased a dress there and they didnt have a phone number for me (Funny, because I remember leaving my phone number when I made the appointment... who doesn't when they make such an im. She stated that "We only do alterations on dresses bought here". I told the woman I was never told that, ad she said well the person who made the appointment should have told you that.... WELL GUESS WHAT!!!! She did not!!!! And you wasted two and a half weeks of my already very short time frame. SHe stated that she would go ask to see if something could be done. Of course she came back and stated that she is sorry, but they cannot help me. I of course stood there telling them that it was not my fault that I was not told what so ever. WHy would I waste two and a half weeks of an already small time frame. Bottom line is that the three woman stood there staring at me and refused to even make an exception. You messed up, not me... so have good customer service and make an exception. They of course could care less about me. They did not even offer to give me a local seamstress that they thought I could possibly use. I HAD TO ASK IF THEY RECOMMENDED SOMEONE!!!! What horrible service this place gives! Thankfully the woman that they ended up giving me was FANTASTIC... Ss glad I found her. She is getting the dress done in a week, probably ALOT quicker than BB would. I was just rather bothered by the customer service I was given, they could have handled the situation ALOT different. I was actually planning on buying a second wedding dress from there, but after my experience I would rather give my business elsewhere. I am not downing the dresses at BB nor the customer service that you may be given if you have actually already bought a dress from there.... I am merely telling the customer service I was given. Just because I didnt buy a dress from there does not mean you dismiss me.... You look at people as future customers and future referrals.
