| - Our evening here did not start off on a good note.
The hostess was a big B. It took a few minutes to even get her attention, even though there was no one else in front of us. She was just talking to another server, and looking down at the screen, not even acknowledging us or saying hi and asking us to wait a moment while she did her thing. Once she DID greet us, she asked if "those two are with you" and when I replied yes, she said "Oh... we don't allow men with tank tops inside". Exactly in the tone you just read it.
So we walked down the mall to buy him a t-shirt.
Once that was done we went back. And the hostess acted like she didn't even remember us, even though we were gone for 10 minutes, if that.
We were finally seated, where we were greeted by our co-servers. Both of which were very friendly and attentive. We were served water and bread, and that's where the night got slightly worse. One of our party members drank some water from his glass and felt something sharp. He fished a piece of glass out of the water and it cut his finger.
We let our server know who was very good at handling the situation.
The food itself was delicious. We got the charcuterie platter (should have included cheese), wagyu ribeye, sea scallops, potato gratine, mushroom assortment and the asparagus. I'd probably skip the mushrooms next time, as they were under seasoned and bland.
Our night was redeemed when the manager made an effort to come over and apologize about the broken glass. She comped our appetizer and gave us a free ice cream platter. The ice cream was amazing.
If it wasn't for the hostess and the broken glass, I could comfortably give this place a 4-4.5 stars. I probably won't visit here again.
