  • Stayed at the JW Marriott and didn't feel like driving anywhere. Shizen is located at the Rampart Casino and is actually owned & operated by the JW Marriott. For being a Monday the dining room was quite full - possibly due to the heavy rain incurred. I was receiving flash flood warnings every couple of minutes on my cell phone. My waitress from Hawaii was incredibly friendly and gave some solid recommendations of sushi and rolls to order. Service and turnaround on my orders were quick considering how busy they were. The seaweed salad,calamari salad, poki, fried tofu and shishito peppers were solid starters. We then enjoyed tuna, eel, salmon, scallop, uni and clam sushi. Last round included baked mussels, spicy tuna roll, crunch roll, and Las Vegas roll. I ended my Japanese feast with a yummy hot bowl of miso soup. Only con here was I had no room for dessert! Overall, I was satisfied with the service and Quality not to mention the convenience of dining a short walk from my hotel room. BTW, Sunday and Monday is AYCE sushi and is only $28.00 a head.
