  • Thank you, Melody Sparrow, for saving my hair's life! I called The Hair Standard about 4 days after I received a completely botched dye job from a salon in the Henderson area. I spoke to the receptionist who would ask around and let me know when they would be able to squeeze me in. Shortly thereafter, Melody called and I elaborated on my hair's situation. I was skeptical if my hair was salvageable since my ends were breaking off every time I combed my hair (even though I've been conditioning and leave-in conditioning the crap out of my hair), and so I asked Melody if a color correction was needed if I go solid dark since I have red, orange, and bleached blond bits in my hair. She was able to schedule me in the last appointment of the day the same day, color correction not needed. After my last salon stylist said "Olaplex is hyped up," my hair bits have been coating my bathroom sink. I came to Melody expecting to chop off about 2.5 inches off my ends since they were fried, but she managed to save my hair from being cut by using Olaplex! It's hard to find any salon around here that does use Olaplex so if you want to have some fun with your hair, come to The Hair Standard. My hair's a shiny black and I can comb my fingers through my hair without breakage. Melody's personality is absolutely contagious and friendly. She genuinely cares about your hair and is only a phone call away should your hair not meet your expectations. She does bounce between a salon in California and Vegas so catch her while you can! The salon itself is open, minimalistic, and beautiful! It's towards the back of the plaza behind a KFC. The prices are more than reasonable for the work they do. The energy between all the workers and clients here are so positive, I know I will come back if I need any work done to my hair.
