  • This review is long overdue. I was introduced to Sunset while dating my then girlfriend (now wife) in 2010. She had been taking her car to this shop since moving to the Valley several years before. I was in need of a reliable, independent mechanic, and started taking my SUV there. I've rarely been as satisfied with car repair to the level I have here. Jack, the owner, is a great guy, extremely knowledgeable and a straight shooter. He's really good at diagnosing problems as well as fixing mistakes made at dealers and other shops. Bottom line, if you don't need a certain repair, he won't recommend it. Same goes for Jeff and the rest of the crew. Honest service at a reasonable price, which is the best you can get with a car repair shop. I now drive a new Toyota 4Runner, and have decided to bypass the free scheduled maintenance from Toyota in favor of having Sunset do the work. No knock on any dealers, but I know that at Sunset the work will be done right, timely, and affordably. Can't say enough about this business; highly recommended.
