We only needed a single night stay over in the Pittsburgh area - and found this inn by searching hotel sites. It looked absolutely gorgeous, so we booked it. And when we arrived everything looked exactly as it did in photos.
The host greeted us and gave a quick tour - we were time-constrained so she was quick to take us around and explain rules and procedures. Our room was spacious and clean, with everything you would expect in a standard hotel style room.
We got back late so didn't get to enjoy the first floor amenities as much as we would have liked. The room was clean and comfortable, which was most important.
In the morning we had more time to enjoy the library and fireplace rooms before and after breakfast. They are large and relaxing and very comfortable - and just invite you to sit and relax with a cup of coffee!
Breakfast was prepared to order, and was excellent. We'd missed out on dinner the night before so were ready for a hearty meal - and the cook delivered. As you would expect, there was personal attention and plenty of interaction.
Before leaving we wandered around the grounds a bit and chatted with the property manager and cook, super nice guys who really love and appreciate the property and worked hard to deliver a relaxing experience.
As expected in a place this old, there are creaky and uneven floors, but in general the place is in good repair and very clean. Highly recommended!
