So sad. Cain's used to be a hoppin' place with great food. One of the long standing authentically local Dormont establishments. It has been here for decades. This new restaurant group that bought it has completely ruined it. The "Local" name - is just a slap in the face. It's now a bad chain. I fear that Cain's won't last long now. The place has no vibe at all - it was dead - nearly empty - on a Friday night. We were seated, yet after 15 minutes no one had come back to our table. Service is terrible. Aside from that, the prices are absolutely absurd. Meals come with homemade chips now, not fries and cost on average about $13-14. Sorry, but I am not paying $14 for a French dip, Rueben, or Burger and a side of chips. Appetizers - how about $11 for fried pickles!!! Yes, Pickles!!! I am just so sad that Cain's sold out to this restaurant group - it used to be a great "local" place to eat, drink, and watch games. I don't want to say to stay away because I want Dormont businesses to succeed, but I will honestly never return and I live within walking distance.
