| - Given that my friends and I come here on a near weekly basis to play Team Trivia, I figured it was about time to write a review. While I have some tiny issues with the place, they never matter much since I always end up having a blast here.
There are TONS of different varieties of beer available in bottles, cans, or on draft. Perfect for beer snobs and craft beer noobs alike. Even if you're like me and pretty much get the same thing (Ranger IPA!) every time, there are still lots of options if you decide you want to mix it up. Plus, the happy hour prices rock.
Food is your typical bar fare. Fried appetizers, burgers, and pizza. I haven't tried the pizza yet, but I've enjoyed the burgers I've had. On Saturdays, the burgers are $6 which is a smokin' deal, considering that one burger could probably feed two people, plus you also get a side salad or fries. The guacamole appetizer is fantastic as well. Great for sharing.
Now for the main draw, trivia!!! Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, Boulders has Team Trivia games, which are fantastically fun. If people don't cheat, that is. My friends and I have won twice so far (winners get a $20 gift certificate for their next visit.) Never fear if you're not the ultimate champions- second place and third place get $15 and $10 giftcards respectively. It's always amusing to hear other team names with pop culture references and profanity peppered in.
The teensy negatives: What's up with the A/C?? The last few times I've visited, it's been just stiflingly hot inside. It hasn't been enough to ruin the fun, but it's definitely a bit irksome to sweat inside in the summer. Service can also be slow at times but this is mainly when there are 30 trivia playing teams, so I understand the delay. Generally, even when it's busy, the servers are awesome and do their best to get your orders to you quickly.
