  • I had a Kinetico system in my last home and an RO system under the sink. I sold my home and purchased a new home that did not have a water system. The Kinetico system at the last home worked fine but service was poor and expensive along with the prohibitive cost of the soft water system (Kinetico Premier Series) and K5 RO Drinking Water System. Kinetico did not bother to install the RO system to the refrigerator saying they 'couldn't' do it. I always had floating ice particles (for those that know what I mean it is really gross to see them). American Home Water and Air offers good products at reasonable prices. I met with Tom who called me back immediately. It is scary how fast he responds and how fast they installed once I told them I wanted to proceed. They don't mess around. There were no games and he was very straightforward and to the point. The installation is top notch. Indeed, they connected the RO system to my refrigerator in the kitchen from under the kitchen sink and installed a line all the way downstairs in my basement wet bar. They then installed another RO line to my refrigerator in the basement and now that refrigerator has RO ice and water as well. Nice! Tom told me this could be done with the single RO unit upstairs (saving me another unit price and RO install downstairs). They were at my home for 8 hours and had to cut drywall to run lines and drill through the concrete foundation upstairs. They had to run a line through my attic too. Everything was repaired just fine and the only thing I have to do is paint some spots (but they actually matched it pretty well already). Tom suggested all of this to dial us in right and it is fantastic. I love the can-do attitude and looking out for customer needs. I will say that the pressure of the RO system from Kinetico is better and the water tastes great but for the price point and expensive filters it was crazy to buy it. From the refrigerators the flow of water is rather slow. With the RO ice however I'm not sure I really care about this or feel it is a big issue. The RO water produced from the system tastes good and seems to work just fine so far (two months). For the 'can do' installation, fair pricing, and not dealing with a cheesy sales pitch, I would wholeheartedly recommend American Home Water and Air. If I would have known about them at my old house I would have just gone with them. Can't recommend them enough.
