I don't know where this show went now that the Riviera is closed, but I hope it continues. It's exactly the sort of cheesy, magic show that exemplifies everything I love about Vegas. But, don't let that make you think that the magic wasn't impressive. I personally had a better time here than a particular Cirque show that I went to a few nights prior. His last act in particular had my jaw on the floor. I also like how he incorporated the beautiful, beautiful cats into the show in a safe and respectful way. They weren't there to do tricks but rather to just be part of the illusion. I understand why he had the video in the middle, to show that the cats weren't abused and that he actually cared about. I hope that wasn't just a show for the audience and he really did treat them well. Dirk Arthur himself has an interesting stage presence. He comes across a little as a overeager teen getting ready to show off his new trick, but, at the end of the day, they are pretty fun to watch. I hope, wherever he ends up, he and his cats continue their success.
