I attended the ROM for the first time during the first Friday Night Live of the year, featuring an exposition called "Splash". I know this is not the typical first impression when it comes to experiencing the ROM - I guess people visit the museum before attending any Friday night live events - but, anyway, it was pretty awesome.
I loved the museum. IT IS HUGE, ENORMOUS. I loved dancing with the dinosaurs. I loved drinking beer and wine while watching rock collections and I like how they placed different food and drink stations in different parts of the museum - I did not have to wait more than three minutes to get my food and drinks, which is great given the amount of people that were attending the party. This was a seriously fun Friday evening :)
I missed a more interactive approach a little bit, but overall the artifacts and objects are well taken care of and well preserved. The dinosaur exposition (yes, again talking about the dinosaurs, I cannot avoid it) is one the most amazing and more impressive rooms I have seen in a museum.
I will be updating my review with some more sensations and feelings when I visit the museum on a normal day, but for now the first experience was fabulous.
