| - Unfortunately, I cannot attest to Justin's landscaping abilities because we never got that far. The first time he was scheduled to come to give us an estimate, he did not show up. Upon contacting him 2 days later, he tells me he was sick the night before and didn't call. I didn't quite understand why he couldn't make a courtesy call as I had stayed home the entire Sarurday to wait for him. But giving him the benefit of the doubt, I rescheduled. This time he came and gave us a fair estimate of the work that the job entailed. However, his first availability was nearly two weeks away and we were hoping for sooner but we contracted with him. Justin seemed very professional giving us a written contact, a business card and suggestions on how to control some of the plants. He seemed to know his stuff. Well, the yard cleaning date came and we waited, we waited , we waited and by 4:15 still no Justin. Since it is fall and it gets dark early I tried calling him. Shockingly, he answered. I told Justin who I was and he said hello. I'm like, "are you still coming?" At this point he tells me his truck broke down about 20 minutes ago and he was having it towed. I said I was sorry about his truck but I wish he could have called me He said he was on his way to my house when his truck broke down. Obviously, he wasn't making it at all. Again I said why didn't you call to let me know? I had errands to run but was waiting on him to come before going out. He reiterated that his truck broke down and why couldn't I understand that. I said this is the 2nd time something happened and he was a know-show. A simple call or text was the professional way to handle emergencies. I was not angry at the inability to perform the work, but rather the lack of communication. Again he reiterated more loudly that his truck broke down and why couldn't unerstand. Realizing he did not understand my problem with him, I said firmly, "Justin, stuff happens in life and I get that ...but as a professional you have to respect your clients' time spent waiting on you." At this point he started yelling about his bron truck and told me, "f*%#k you!" I was appalled! I responded by texting him my opinion that he was unprofessional, rude and insulting. That he was unreliable and I could not recommend him. And to curse at me was unacceptable. He quickly responded with a long-winded text whereby he accused me of expecting the world to cater to me, that I didn't care about him and his business being affected by this situation, that I was worry about pulling a few weeds. Funny, he didn't have time call but he made the time to respond with a text that took 3-5 minutes to write! Consequently, I cannot recommend him.
